Bonson Bonsonson

'Quote'

Bonson is Jazz Emu's nephew, taken under Jazz's wing after his father Grahamothy Emu died. He is a young, fairly optimistic boy who doesn't seem to have too much of a problem with Jazz's treatment of him. Despite his troubled upbringing, he is quite well adjusted, offering good advice to Jazz when he needs it and often being the voice of reason between the pair. He has been kidnapped a number of times and also caught a number of rare or supposedly extinct diseases (such as Edwardian gout).

Appearance

Bonson appears to be a young boy of around 10 or 11, with short dark hair who dresses in a similar colourful 70's fashion to Jazz. Due to only appearing vocally or as a static image in Jazz's content, it is difficult to know much else about his appearance.

It is possible that Bonson is a little bit older in The Sound of Us.

Abilities

• Guitar - In 'Vibe it Out' Jazz mentions 'break[ing] [his] nephew's new guitar', it is assumed he is talking about Bonson. This means that Bonson can likely play guitar to some level.


• Stage Management - Bonson frequently does tech for Jazz and helps to manage the stage and props.

Relationships

• Jazz Emu - Bonson's Uncle/ Manager/ Boss. Having been taken under Jazz's wing after his father died, Bonson quickly became an unpaid errand boy for Jazz instead of being cared for properly. This lead to his kidnap and contraction of Edwardian gout. Despite all this, the two remain somewhat affectionate for each other at times.


• Bronchman Emu - Bonson's grandfather. Despite being in the same room together during Episode 4 of 'The Sound of Us', Bonson and Bronchman never interact directly so it is unclear what their relationship is like.
• Grahamothy Emu - Bonson's father. It is unknown what their relationship was like due to Grahamothy's death, and that Bonson has never spoken about him.

Appearances

Bonson is mentioned in passing in a number of videos by Jazz, usually hvaing been kidnapped or caught a rare disease. His most notable appearance however is in person in The Sound of Us.

Trivia

• Bonson once had a pet crab, who unfortunately died. He was made fun of for being upset about it's death, so he struggles talking about it to people.
• In 'Belt Loop' Jazz is seen speaking to a character named 'Benson'. It is possible that this was where Archie came up with the idea for Bonson.
